What is WordPress and why did we choose it?

WordPress is an open-source publishing platform that enables casual Web users to manage a sophisticated and highly-functional Web site. Because WordPress is open-source, there are no licensing fees that you need to pay –– that helps keep our setup cost and renewal fees low.

WordPress is highly versatile, and its easy-to-use platform allows users to create dynamic Web pages.  You can add or edit content on your site in a matter of seconds.  And no coding is necessary.  You’ll find that your Web pages will automatically display your most recent content.

WordPress makes it easy to manage and organize a large amount of content.  And with our “unlimited” policy, you can add as many links, stories, announcements, sports scores, photos, and videos as you want.

WordPress makes running a Web site easy.  You’ll never need to use FTP, you’ll never need to use DreamWeaver, and you’ll never need to know HTML. WordPress has an easy to use text editor that allows you to format text and photos without any knowledge of coding.

WordPress is feature-rich, making it easy to integrate video, slideshows, audio clips, polls, and many more features.

WordPress is search-engine friendly.  Its underlying structure will make it easy for your users to find your site using Google or any other search engine.
